The process of evolution relates not only to the perfecting of skills to manifest desired ambitions, but also to the unfoldment of the individual consciousness of life within. This broad evolutionary trend toward the development and growth of individual uniqueness brings a new perspective to consulting and training. The dual process of skills development and evolution explains differences in people more reasonably and more justly than a belief in haphazard circumstances, by some irresponsible power in whose grip we are helpless. It gives further impetus to our sense of responsibility. We realize that mankind is a family. How then can we despise our brother, however weak he may seem to be? As we see his stumbling and errors, we should not hate him but rather extend compassion, realizing that we also are stumbling and we all need to help each other. This encourages us to accept the responsibility for our own rate of growth. It also stimulates our sense of social responsibility, our compassion for any man whose need is greater than our own, and our understanding of the causes of many situations and circumstances which otherwise might seem cruel and unjust. Spirituality to me is an essence of the inner spirit of a person, which is acted out in relation to others. It allows an experience of meaning and purpose through consciousness of one's self as related to something greater than self. Organizations posses great spiritual potential because they provide an avenue through which individuals can find an essential link to a larger world. But even so, it seems to be a touchy subject to actually talk about spirituality in the work place. Perhaps that is because spirituality can imply religion. We believe that spirituality is a way of connecting with that which is meaningful, something greater than oneself. Other applications for building spirituality in the work place are -- being kind, acknowledging the value of others, demonstrating your own self-knowledge and spirituality in all your actions, encouraging management to use value-based discretion in making decisions, making organizational decisions that are in alignment with their ethics and beliefs and identifies the link between the two. It is that sense of the spirit that transcends religion and binds us as human beings in a greater world.
It is this deeper spiritual meaning of our human relations which Micro-Doctor applies to the practical view of management principals and leadership development. To provide services which offer a philosophy which renders life intelligible and demonstrates the inviolable nature of the laws which govern its evolution.
